Now officially known as His Royal Highness Prince Harry the Duke of Sussex and Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Sussex, the royal couple tied the knot today, while millions watched from around the globe. Were you one of them?
We love this pic (above), doesn’t it just sum up what a wedding day should feel like?
A royal wedding inevitably showcases a collection of elegant gowns, whether you see them as conservative, feminine, sophisticated, modest or stylish, there’s no doubt the world is fascinated with what guests wore to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding.
Today we bring you an edit of the elegant dresses we loved most.
First, of course, the Duchess’ wedding gown. A Givenchy gown created by British designer, Clare Waight Keller, this elegant wedding dress was crafted with pure white silk, and designed with an open bateau neckline. Her cathedral length, five metre veil was made of silk tulle, and was embroidered with flowers representing each country in the Commonwealth.
The page boys and bridesmaids make their way up the cathedral steps with the Duchess of Cambridge.
Pippa Middleton wore a pleated midi dress, the Hepburn, from The Fold. Made of pure silk, with a delicate floral print painted in Italy.
Sophie, the Countess of Wessex. Not a dress, but we love the look!
Amal and George Clooney. Amal is wearing a marigold midi dress by Stella McCartney.
Carey Mulligan in a gorgeous, feminine dress with a black belt. Love the neckline!
Sophia Wellesly with James Blunt.
Which of these elegant dresses is your favourite? We’re loving Gina’s dress – a perfect combination of a simple silhouette and intricate detail.
