Brisbane based makeup artist Ari’Elle Liufau, shares with us her quick tips for when you’re in a hurry.
My fascination for makeup started from as far back as I can remember and over my thirty years of life, makeup became a passion of mine. This year I was inspired by the movie Julie and Julia. It’s about a girl from America who is also thirty and stuck in a rut. She decided to challenge herself to cook 524 recipes in 365 days. So, I came up with a makeup challenge called “Wake up and Makeup”, 365 days of makeup and documenting it on social media. I am currently at day 119 and it has been so much fun and I have learnt so much from this process. I don’t just love makeup because of the way it makes you look but the way it can make you feel.
My quick tips for Wakeup and Makeup: A lightweight foundation, my favourite is the Nars Sheer Glow, it just leaves your skin looking radiant and even. A couple of coats of mascara, brows are a MUST, it makes you look put together and frames your eyes. My favourite brow pencil for quick application is the Brow Wiz from Anastasia Beverly Hills. A bit of bronzer to give a little definition and bring warmth to your face. Lastly, a clear gloss or even something with a pop of colour, gives the illusion that you made a lot of effort.
