The best part about online shopping is being able to discover clothing that’s hard to find, like our fabulous range of modest dresses. The most challenging part of online shopping is getting the right fit! Fortunately dresses are easier to size online than other items of clothing like pants, not to mention shopping for jeans (EEK!).
To measure, stand in front of a mirror and use a tape measure – if you don’t have tape measure, you can pick one up from your local craft or haberdashery store for only a few dollars.
When you take your measurements, make sure you’re not wearing bulky clothing and that the tape is not pulled too tight.
There are three measurements every woman needs: bust, waist and hip.
- BUST – Measure around the widest part of your bust, make sure the measuring tape is parallel to the floor.
- WAIST – Measure around the narrowest part of your waist. You can find your natural waistline by bending sideways.
- HIPS – Measure around the widest part of your hips and buttocks.
Where possible, we also provide the shoulder to hem measurement for each dress – this will give you an idea of where the hem will fall on your own body. Quite often, the larger the size, the longer the dress.
For easier online shopping, keep a copy of your measurements near your computer or saved in your phone. If you would like any advice on selecting the right size, you are always welcome to send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll do our best to help you find the right fit!
